WHAT ARE THE SECONDARY CONDITIONS?
Secondary Conditions refer to the symptoms or physiological responses that arise as a consequence of an underlying Segmental Dysfunction. These manifestations are the body’s way of signalling that a structural imbalance is present, often long before more serious pathology develops.

At Corrective Spinal Rehab, our primary objective is not merely to manage symptoms, but to identify and correct the root cause, namely, the segmental misalignment affecting spinal integrity and nervous system function.
When a spinal segment deviates from its optimal biomechanical position, it can place undue stress on the surrounding tissues and neural structures. This may result in a wide array of Secondary Conditions, including—but not limited to—the following:
-
Muscle Spasm/Tightness
-
Low Back Pain
-
Acute Whiplash Disorders
-
Shoulder pain
-
Frozen Shoulder
-
Arm Pain
-
Hip osteoarthritis
-
Leg Pain
-
Migraine Headache
-
Cervicogenic Headache
-
Cervicogenic Dizziness
-
Extremity Joint Conditions
-
Neck PainSciatica
-
TMJ syndrome
-
Arthritis
-
Knee pain
-
Gait abnormalities
-
Scoliosis
-
Torticollis
-
Vertigo / Dizziness
-
Fatigue/Tiredness
-
Fibromyalgia
-
Asymmetry (e.g. tilted shoulder, unleveled pelvis)
-
Carpal tunnel syndrome
-
Decreased motion
-
Degenerative disc disease
-
Degenerative joint disease
-
Digestive disorders (e.g. reflux, constipation)
-
Disc bulge/herniation
-
Numbness
-
Pinched nerve
-
Poor posture
-
Rotator cuff issues
-
Muscular imbalance
-
Tendonitis
-
Thoracic outlet syndrome
-
Dowager’s hump (i.e. “granny hump”)
By addressing the Segmental Dysfunction, we aim to alleviate these secondary manifestations at their source, restoring spinal balance and optimising overall neuromusculoskeletal health.
